Mexico

by Caitlin
Mexico is, and always will be one of my most favorite trips. I left there for three weeks during December 2014 and January 2015. I started in Cancún and stayed there for nine days before journeying to Merida. In Cancún, I took many day trips to nearby towns and formed a great group of traveling friends. After Cancún, I took a bus a few hours northwest to Merida, a beautiful little city. Next, I had plans set to see Puebla but after hearing many travelers and locals insist I visit the state of Chiapas, I decided to change my route. I took a long bus ride to the amazing city of San Cristobal de Las Casas before finishing my trip in Mexico City. At the beginning of this trip, I had a much planned out journey which ended up costing me a lot of money and time in the end. This trip taught me, among other things, that you’re not always better off planning every detail in advance. I’m considering this heavily in my current planning for my long South America trip.
But please, check out my photo albums from Mexico and ask any questions (or leave some comments)! I’d love to offer up my advice.
