It’s Oktoberfest season! My favorite season! While nothing can compare to the original Oktoberfest in Germany, the Oktoberfests we have here in Austin are quite impressive. Here are the details on the best parties in town.
Unique to Austin, and the surrounding Hill Country area, we have an abundance of German heritage and appreciation for those amazing German lagers. I mean we do have some of the best beer gardens in all of Texas. So naturally we are going to have a ton of amazing Oktoberfests!
Luckily, while the typical Oktoberfest goes for a few weekends beginning in mid-September, Austin’s Oktoberfest celebrations go through November! You won’t hear any complaints from me about that.

Bonus: Texas Craft Brewers Fest
- When: Saturday, October 1st, 2022
- Where: Austin, Texas

Not technically an Austin Oktoberfest celebration, but this massive beer festival always happens during the season. This is one of the largest, and in my opinion the most legitimate, beer festival in the whole state.
Every year all of the craft brewers across Texas come to Austin to showcase their finest brews. Sitting right on the water at the beautiful Fiesta Gardens, I always look forward to this fall beer festival in Austin.
