Go Swimming in Wimberley with 3 Unique Options
There’s nothing like a refreshing dip in crystal-clear waters and Wimberley has plenty of those! You can visit Cypress Falls Park, Blue Hole Regional Park, or Jacob’s Well for a new adventure every day.
Blue Hole Regional Park
Come to the Blue Hole Regional Park in Wimberley, an oasis that will let you forget your worries and be at peace. The water stays a constant 75 degrees all year round and is shaded by trees. Bring your picnic blanket too, because the lawns are perfect for it!

Cyprus Falls Swimming Hole
Located at The Lodge at Cyprus Falls, the Cyprus Falls Swimming Hole is my favorite of these three places to swim in Wimberly. And it’s not hard to see why! Unlike Blue Hole and Jacob’s Well, Cyprus Falls:
- Does not require reservations
- Is dog-friendly
- Has a restaurant and bar on site.
- Cheapest entrance fee at $5/day.
Jacob’s Well Natural Area
Wimberley is home to a favorite swimming spot, Jacob’s Well. The water is supplied by the Trinity Aquifer, which starts at 140 feet below the surface and maintains a constant 68 degrees year-round. The cave system below can be dangerous to explore and has led to several SCUBA casualties in the past!
Reservations are required, so be sure to reserve your spot before you go. (Use this link!) The natural area prohibits dogs, glass, alcohol, and drones. Hiking visitors do not need a reservation.

Baldy Mountain
Old Baldy Park sits on 4.3 acres of beautiful Texas Hill Country land and includes 218 rock steps that lead to 360-degree views of the valley. The hike rewards you with a bird’s eye view of the Frio River Canyon and Wimberly Valley!

This long-standing Wimberley tradition has been around for over 60 years! Find your favorite collectibles, gifts, beads, jewelry, rocks, and minerals from around the world right here at the Broken Arrow Rock Shop and Gallery.

Ceremony Botanical Studio
When I’m not visiting breweries, you’ll most likely find me at a plant shop. So I was quite excited when I spotted this plant shop in downtown Wimberly! Ceremony offer’s a variety of trending houseplants alongside a selection of candles, ceramics, books, incense, and pots!
Emilyann Theatre and Gardens
This theater is a hidden gem in Wimberley Texas, providing visitors with an outdoor performing arts theater, gardens, a life-size chessboard, and picnic areas.

Middleton Brewing

Middleton Brewing was founded by Dennis and Kim Middleton back in 2011. With a long dream of opening a brewpub, they moved from California to Texas where they opened this brewery offering a wide variety of quality beers. I love visiting this taproom and heading up to their second-story patio where you can get a view of Hill Country as far as the eyes can see!

Just a few miles from the town of Wimberley, you’ll find a brewery with a gorgeous farmhouse and scenic views. Inside, you’ll find all the farmhouse-style beer that you could ever hope for. A visit to Roughhouse Brewing is a must, must, must when visiting Wimberley!
