Love is in the air, and Valentine’s Day is right around the corner…
There’s plenty to do for every type of romantic for Valentine’s Day in Austin. This coming week is full of great and fun events for your gals and your boo. Even if you hate love, I’ve got something on this list for you! ;)
I rounded up some of the coolest happenings this year, everything from singles mingling, Valentine’s Day beer releases, and of course, Parks and Rec Galentine’s Day trivia.

Uncle Billy’s Perfect Match Celebrating Shokolad Chocolate Imperial Stout
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Uncle Billy’s winter seasonal beer, Shokolad Chocolate Imperial Stout, has returned. This boozy, roasty, chocolate stout is available at the brewpub and around town on draft.
To celebrate the holiday, Uncle Billy’s has put together a series of sweet pairings available during the week of February 11th. The Perfect Pairings flights is a vertical with five different Shokolads: 2018, 2017, 2016, 2018 barrel-aged, and 2017 barrel-aged. The lineup is a cool transition of delicious stout that was created by the previous brewer, Trevor Nearburg. Uncle Billy’s current head brewer, Stephen Wagner, is keeping up the tradition while adding his own unique take on the brew.
The XO Crawl with atx&o
Grab your friends, wear red and fall for East Austin all over again. Crawl with local bloggers atx&o to hand-selected East 6th/7th businesses and bars for artisan vendors, DJ’s, installations, drinks, day-of specials and an exclusive after party for VIP ticket holders. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to Creative Action. Tickets start at $30.
Blue Owl Double Dapper Devil Beer Release
Just in time for Valentines Day, whats better than Dapper Devil? Double Dapper Devil! This Belgian-Style Real-Strong Ale has twice the amount of red raspberries added, coming in at 12% ABV. Join Blue Owl Brewing on Wednesday for the release and grab some with a loved one.
OR stop by the East Austin brewery on V-Day and pair a Double Dabber Devil with chocolate treats from local vendors.

I Heart Beer and Chocolate Pairing at Celis Brewery
Join Celis for an evening of mouth-watering, decadent chocolate and beer pairings. They’ve partnered with Crave Artisan Chocolates to bring you a pre-Valentine’s night of sinful bites and brews. Awaken the palate with blends of sweet and tart and learn what goes into the craftsmanship of both creations. The night includes six 5 oz beer tastings and hand-crafted chocolates. Tickets are $12
Parks and Rec Trivia at Kitty Cohen’s
Celebrate Galentine’s Day at Kitty Cohen’s with Parks and Rec trivia! It’s free to play and there are prizes. Registration opens at 5:30PM, quiz kicks off at 7PM. Arrive early to ensure your crew gets one of the 30 team slots!
Galentine’s Day Sweet Nutmeg Cookie Decorating Class at Zilker Brewing
Join Zilker Brewing Wednesday, February 13th at 7PM in their taproom to learn how to decorate Valentine’s Day cookies like a pro with owner/operator of Sweet Nutmeg, Megan McElroy.
These cookies are sure to make your sweetheart smile. The class is just $20 which includes cookies of your very own to take home along and a pint of beer. Tickets here.

A Very Vista Valentine’s Day Three-Course Dinner for Two in Hill Country
Vista Brewing is hosting a three-course set menu for Valentine’s Day featuring the seasonal harvest from their onsite farm and sustainably-raised proteins sourced from local ranchers in Central Texas.
Head out before sunset for a stroll around the property (sunset time is 6:19 pm) or snuggle up at one of their two fire pits. Tickets are $60 per couple, more details can be found here.
Singles with Dogs Valentine’s Day at Lustre Pearl East

Anti-Valentine’s Day with Friends and Allies Brewing
No Cards, no flowers, no pressure, JUST BEER! Featuring Friends and Allies Brewing’s limited release Coffee Chocolate Lobby Boy Porter with beans from Greater Goods Coffee Roasters and chocolate from Srsly chocolate. From 3-6PM beers are $3 for single people!
Valentine’s Day Flight with Craft Pride
Join Craft Pride again this year for their annual Valentine’s Day Flight collaboration with Intero. Come experience the fun and unique discovery of flavor with chocolates made specifically to pair with each beer in the flight.
This year, the Rainey Street beer bar has a great music lineup planned with local Gypsy Jazz acts Scrapelli and The Waller Creek Vipers. Artisanal chocolate, beer, music, and Via 313 Pizza for dinner make for a perfect night out on the town. Tickets are $25 and include five brews.
Valentine’s in Black at the Mean Eyed Cat
Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Austin’s Johnny Cash-themed bar, the Mean Eyed Cat. Love is a burning thing and it makes a fiery ring. That means, starting at 5PM, it’s time to celebrate with specials on Fireball Whiskey Fireman’s #4 Blonde, and Mean Eyed Cat’s spicy Mean Marg.
